Accountant Position

We're seeking an Accountant with a diligent mindset to join our accounting team that prides itself on providing superior support for an exceptional group of companies. Palisades Holdings Inc. represents a network of dedicated companies specializing in the fabrication and distribution of high-end specialty alloy products for key end-use markets.

Following all regulatory and accounting guidelines, the Accountant will assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for multiple entities under the supervision of the Controller. As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Accountant. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

  1. Assist in producing accurate and timely financial statements
  2. Prepare monthly journal entries
  3. Reconcile general ledger accounts for monthly and year end closing
  4. Assist in the preparation of forecasts
  5. Review financial reports with management
  6. Prepare and participate in internal and external audits
  7. Assist in the management of business tax accounts and preparation of business tax filings
  8. Conduct various analyses for management
  9. Daily cash management, set up ACHs/wires
  10. Assist in special projects as necessary
  11. Ensure compliance with all internal controls
  12. Occasional travel for inventory audits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • CPA Preferred
  • Strong work ethic; self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail orientated with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasks
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
