Social Work for Behavioral Health Unit

Responsible for the assessment and delivery of psychosocial services to inpatients of the Behavioral Health Unit. May provide evaluation to the Emergency Room/medical units for referred patients to the Behavioral Health Unit. Provides psychosocial services including assessment, diagnosis, group therapy, family therapy, discharge planning/care coordination, psychoeducation and psychotherapeutic treatment for patients experiencing acute mental health issues. This position is responsible for review and oversight of social work functions of the Behavioral Health Unit.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the State of Oregon or a Clinical Social Worker Associate working towards Clinical Social Work licensing requirements for the State of Oregon with one year experience in a health care setting.
• State of Oregon licensure as a Clinical Social Worker is required within two (2) years of employment.
• Master's degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Length of assignment: 13 weeks
• Shift/Hours per week: Days Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p, 40 hours per week

Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
