Do you have a love of your local community and interest in growing relationships within it? City Lifestyle could be a great opportunity for you and we have exclusive territories still open.

You work in your protected territory connecting with local business owners and selling them marketing options including print and digital advertising. You also lead a monthly community magazine, mailed to the top 10% of homes by value, that puts your community’s people, businesses and events in the spotlight. The magazine connects residents to the people and places around them, and you’re the one making the introductions. Our corporate team handles design, printing and distribution.

You set your own hours and work from home and in person around your area. No publishing or media experience is required. The role suits people who want control over their schedule, and people with sales or leadership experience who want to lead and serve in their own community.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid on commission only, no cap on earnings. There is no base salary. Most publishers see first revenue in under 6 months and you have an exclusive set market that does not change.

What you’ll do

• Build relationships with local business owners and sell annual advertising partnerships across print, digital and social media.
• Choose the local people, businesses, homes and events each issue features, within City Lifestyle’s editorial format.
• Coordinate a small local team of contract writers, photographers and a Publication Director, recruited with our help.
• Be the recognized face of the magazine in your community.
• Take care of your advertisers so they renew. Most partnerships are annual, so the service you give this year decides what renews next year.

Requirements

• Strong connections in your community, or the willingness to build them from scratch.
• You live in or near the community you’ll cover.
• The discipline to run your own calendar. No one schedules your week but you.
• Full-time effort on hours you choose. Results come from the number of sales conversations you have, not when you have them.
