Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant – Restaurant & Hospitality Industry Are you an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment? Lombardi Family Concepts is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing corporate finance team. Restaurant or hospitality accounting experience is highly preferred, as this role supports multiple upscale restaurant concepts and works closely with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with process improvement and collaboration across departments. What You’ll Do Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Support sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings Work with restaurant management teams to research operational variances and accounting questions Prepare reports for leadership to assist with financial decision-making Assist with annual audits and provide requested documentation Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls Maintain organized financial records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but previous experience considered Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas Experience with accounting software and ERP systems Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Multi-location accounting experience Experience with restaurant POS and payroll systems Public accounting experience is a plus CPA designation or CPA candidate is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee dining discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
