Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Staff Accountant One of Vaco's privately-held, billon-dollar clients is looking to add several Staff Accountants to the team due to growth of the company. The current CAO is a client Vaco has worked with for years, specifically helping them to build out the accounting team at a previous company - people have absolutely loved working with them and we've received great feedback on the type of culture and leadership on their teams. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries. Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and statements. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets. Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules. Assist in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. Identify areas of opportunity for improving accounting processes and workflows. Participate in the implementation of new accounting software or systems when applicable. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or working towards CPA is a plus. 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.) preferred.
