Junior Building Envelope Inspector
An engineering consulting firm specializing in building envelope and facade inspections is seeking Junior Building Envelope Inspectors to support inspection projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in facade engineering, structural inspections, and building diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior inspectors during facade and building envelope inspections.
- Document field observations and capture inspection photographs.
- Prepare reports and supporting project documentation.
- Participate in exterior wall assessments and condition surveys.
- Work from suspended scaffolding and elevated access systems when required.
- Support engineering staff with inspection and reporting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Structural Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in building envelope, facade, construction inspection, or related environments.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel locally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural Engineering background.
- Mechanical Engineering background with building envelope experience.
- Experience with facade inspections, roofing systems, waterproofing, or exterior wall systems.
- Familiarity with NYC building regulations and facade safety requirements.
