Medical Assistant, Part-Time

Our Niagara Falls, NY OB/GYN client is seeking a reliable and compassionate part-time  Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience with patient intake, electronic health records (EHR), insurance verification, and front desk operations. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and a patient-first mindset.

The schedule for this role is as follows:

• Monday - 8am - 6pm
• Thursday - 8am - 5pm
• Friday - 8am - 12pm

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in and check-out, including demographic and insurance verification
• Schedule appointments and manage high-volume inbound phone calls
• Complete insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals
• Room patients, take basic information, and prepare exam rooms for procedures
• Maintain accurate patient charting and medical documentation
• Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR), ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Provide administrative support and basic IT troubleshooting as needed
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant required
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems; Medent and/or Healthlink is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical office workflows
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
