Location: Illinois — Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, and Chicago Metro. Assignment Length: Temporary W-2 employee assignment, anticipated 13 weeks. Schedule: Monday–Friday, full time day shift, approximately 40 hours/week; no routine weekends or on-call currently expected. Start Date: Anticipated July 2026. Pay Range: $65.00/hour, W-2, non-exempt. Estimated weekly compensation is $2,925/week, based on a 40-hour workweek and 5 eligible meal/incidental per diem days. Overtime will be paid as required by applicable federal, Illinois, and local law. Travel Support: Lodging, meal/incidental per diem, and mileage reimbursement are provided for eligible travel under VitalCheck's written travel and expense policy. Final travel support may vary based on assignment schedule, location, eligibility, actual travel needs, and applicable policy.

About the Role

VitalCheck is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a temporary 13-week mobile screening assignment serving a professional workforce in Illinois.

The ideal candidate is independent, patient-focused, and experienced in delivering high-quality mammography services in a mobile setting. Candidates must already be fully credentialed and MQSA-qualified before starting this assignment and may not independently perform mammography services until VitalCheck and/or the applicable MQSA-certified facility has verified all required credentials, training, and documentation.

All mammography services will be performed only through an MQSA-certified/accredited facility or mobile unit and in accordance with applicable facility protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D screening mammograms in accordance with MQSA standards, Illinois requirements, applicable MQSA-certified facility/mobile-unit protocols, and radiation safety standards.
• Complete daily mammography quality control in accordance with facility protocol.
• Review images for technical quality and positioning before submission.
• Transmit studies securely and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical workspace.
• Provide a professional, patient-centered experience.
• Support onsite screening workflow, including patient check-in, documentation, schedule flow, and daily operational communication.

This role does not include diagnosis, image interpretation, prescribing, determining medical necessity, or directing physician/radiologist clinical judgment.

Requirements

• Active ARRT RT(R)(M) certification.
• Active Status Accreditation from IEMA-OHS in Medical Radiation Technology, Medical Radiography category, before performing mammography services in Illinois.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of screening mammography experience.
• Documented 3D/tomosynthesis experience.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to support patient-facing coordination duties as needed.
• Ability to provide required MQSA documentation before start date and before independently performing mammography services.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background screening, drug screening, credential verification, and client/facility compliance requirements, all conducted in accordance with applicable federal, Illinois, and local law. Conviction history will be considered only as permitted by law, including any required job-related, individualized assessment.
• No employee may independently perform mammography services until VitalCheck and/or the applicable MQSA-certified facility has verified ARRT RT(R)(M), IEMA-OHS Active Status Accreditation in Medical Radiation Technology, Medical Radiography category, BLS, MQSA, modality-training, and continuing-experience documentation.

This assignment cannot train, qualify, or document candidates into mammography eligibility. Candidates must be fully qualified before beginning the assignment.

MQSA Documentation Required Candidates must provide documentation of:

• At least 200 mammograms performed in the prior 24 months.
• At least 15 mammography CEUs in the prior 36 months.
• At least 8 hours of initial Digital Breast Tomosynthesis training before performing DBT mammography.

Preferred Experience Mobile mammography experience. Hologic 3D/tomosynthesis experience.

Assignment Locations This role will support mobile screening sites across Illinois, subject to assignment needs and final scheduling: Weeks 1–7: Springfield, IL Weeks 8–11: Springfield / Sangamon County Week 12: Champaign-Urbana Week 13: Chicago Metro / Cook County

Travel Details

• Pay rate is $65.00/hour on a W-2, non-exempt basis. Estimated weekly compensation is $2,925/week, based on 40 hours/week and 5 eligible meal/incidental per diem days. Overtime will be paid as required by applicable federal, Illinois, and local law. • Meal/incidental per diem is $65.00 per eligible day, estimated at $325/week based on 5 eligible travel/work days. • Lodging is provided for eligible travel weeks under VitalCheck's written travel and expense policy. • Mileage reimbursement applies to authorized business travel between assigned sites and does not include normal commuting unless required by applicable law or policy. • Final travel support may vary based on assignment schedule, location, eligibility, actual travel needs, and applicable policy.

Benefits and Other Compensation

This temporary W-2 assignment is not eligible for company-sponsored health, retirement, paid holiday, or company PTO benefits, except as required by applicable law or applicable benefit plan terms. Employees are covered by workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, payroll tax withholding, overtime laws, and applicable paid-leave laws. Paid leave will accrue and may be used in accordance with applicable Illinois, Cook County, or Chicago paid-leave law, depending on the employee's work location and hours worked.
