Machine Builder

Location: Holland, MI

Pay: $22–$31/hour

Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Position Type: Long-Term Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Builder to join our team in Holland. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys building equipment, working from mechanical drawings, and contributing to a quality-focused manufacturing environment. You’ll work alongside experienced machine builders and receive on-the-job training while developing your skills in machine assembly and equipment construction.

What You’ll Do

• Build and assemble machinery and mechanical components according to part and assembly drawings.
• Read and interpret intermediate-level mechanical drawings and assembly prints.
• Sort and organize machine-building materials as needed.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned projects and tasks.
• Follow direction from lead machine builders and participate in hands-on training.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity throughout the build process.
• Use basic hand tools and maintain an organized work area.
• Perform hands-on work that may require bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working on, under, and around machinery.
• Work occasional overtime based on project needs.
• Be open to approximately 20% travel in the future.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or hands-on mechanical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret part and assembly drawings at an intermediate level.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a steady pace in a physically demanding, hands-on environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs .
• Willingness to learn and develop machine-building skills through on-the-job training.
• Basic set of hand tools required.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% as the role develops.
