Senior Staff AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing organization in North County San Diego to identify a Senior Staff Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain exposure to a dynamic business environment, complex accounting projects, and high-visibility initiatives that directly impact business operations.The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting experience, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. This role offers significant exposure to month-end close, project accounting, audit preparation, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.What You'll Be DoingPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activitiesPerform variance analysis and investigate financial fluctuationsSupport project-based accounting initiatives, including tracking project costs, analyzing financial performance, and partnering with operational teamsManage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliationsAssist with cash reporting and cash flow analysisSupport quarterly reviews and year-end audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and audit support packagesParticipate in financial statement preparation and reporting in accordance with GAAPAssist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards as neededPartner cross-functionally with operations, project managers, and leadership teams to provide financial insights and reportingIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase efficienciesAssist with special projects related to growth initiatives, system enhancements, and reporting improvementsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience within a publicly traded company environmentExperience supporting external audits and preparing audit workpapersExposure to project accounting, cost accounting, construction accounting, manufacturing accounting, or large-scale operational projects is highly desirableStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsAdvanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functionsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and collaborativelyWhy Consider This Opportunity?Join an organization experiencing significant growthExposure to complex accounting projects and business initiativesHigh level of visibility and collaboration with leadershipOpportunity to contribute to process improvements and operational efficienciesTeam-oriented culture with strong mentorship, collaboration, and open communicationIf you're looking for a role that goes beyond routine month-end close and provides meaningful project exposure, audit involvement, and opportunities for long-term growth, we'd love to connect with you.
