Warehouse Technician II

The Warehouse Technician II assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.

The purpose of this position is to assist internal and external customers in the purchasing, shipping, or receiving of parts or other items from the company. This position typically reports to the department supervisor. This position receives minimal supervision and may help train other technicians.


Key Responsibilities:

• Pull orders from warehouse stock or restock as needed.
• Inspect orders for correct items and correct quantities Keep the work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Conduct, monitor and perform cycle counts and annual inventory of equipment.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
• Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Some College or associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Certifications, Licenses, Registration: Previous license operating a forklift and/or stock picker.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Individuals will be required to frequently sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, talk, hear, climb step ladder, engage in repetitive motions and demonstrate eye/hand/foot coordination. Close vision is required for this job. Employees are required to regularly lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Position frequently demands light to heavy physical work. May require standing over 90% of the day.


Work Environment:

• This position is based in a warehouse/distribution setting.
• Role involves working alone and collaborating as part of a team. Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
• Environmental conditions include frequent exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise and humidity.
• Occasionally the performance of this position will require exposure to production/manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection or hard hats. The noise level in the production/manufacturing areas is usually loud.
