Assisted Living Environmental Service Associate

Job Location: New Haven, CT 06513 Position Type: Full‑time Salary: $17.50 per hour Shift: Day Schedule: Full‑time, 30 hours per week, including every other weekend; available for mornings, evenings, and mid shifts as needed. About Chatham Place Chatham Place is part of Mary Wade’s Assisted Living and Memory Care community, serving seniors in New Haven. As a mission‑focused non‑profit with 84 units, we provide high‑quality care and support services, including a bistro, spa, fitness center, and rooftop terrace. Qualifications Previous environmental service or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. Self‑starter who displays initiative and positivity. Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork with peers and other departments. Engages in positive customer‑service interaction with residents, families and visitors. Takes ownership of errors in service delivery and works to correct them. Contributes to fluctuating staffing needs with flexibility in assignments and schedules. Attends all mandatory education and in‑service programs. Maintains good attendance and punctuality. Willing to work weekends and/or holidays as needed. Job Responsibilities Assist the Environmental Service Director and delegate assignments to team members diplomatically. Perform general housekeeping duties following policies and procedures. Fill in for the Laundry Department as needed. Ensure cleanliness of offices, public areas, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, corridors, and resident rooms. Receive all incoming freight orders and deliver them to appropriate storage areas. Assist in seasonal cleaning projects (floor and carpet care). Perform porter responsibilities. Respond to reasonable requests from the Director of Environmental Services. Perform duties during call‑out situations when no replacement is available.
