Essential Duties and Responsibilities WHAT TO EXPECT We are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking and sales-minded individual to join our team. You will work remotely out of a home office selling Gates products throughout St. Louis, Missouri. Products include automotive and heavy-duty belts, hoses, engine metals, water pumps and hydraulics. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Researching customer needs and developing a plan by account to increase sales of products and services. Take responsibility for effective communication internally and externally. Build trust by addressing opportunities and concerns in a timely manner. Implement sales strategies to accelerate growth of all Gates products in existing and new markets. Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition. Perform product changeovers and new product set ups at customer locations. Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets. Requirements and Preferred Skills ABOUT YOU 2+ years of Field Sales Experience or Industry Experience Considered High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Understanding and utilization of CRM tools is preferred. Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excel comprehension is very important to this position. Ability to work flexible hours and locations depending on position and travel requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Travel required for this position is 30-50% as you work from a home office. Most nights are at home, with the potential of 15 - 20% of your traveling being overnight.
