Labor and Delivery RN Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, including monitoring maternal and fetal conditions.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, procedures, and management of obstetric emergencies.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered, while monitoring patient response and changes in condition.
- Provide immediate newborn care and monitoring following delivery, as needed.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, timely, and quality patient care.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience within the last 3 years
- Must have an Oklahoma or Compact RN License
- Certs: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Meet pre-employment credentialing clearances (Background Check and Drug Screen)
- Ability to meet physical demands (stand; walk; sit; climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl), and lift up to 50lbs
- Additional certifications may be required
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
