The research programme encompasses RNA–protein interactions, RNA structure and function, RNA nanotechnology, RNA dynamics and motility, RNA therapeutics, nucleic acid chemistry, RNA delivery and computational approaches to protein and RNA structure. The postdoctoral scholar will apply modern technologies to chemically modify RNA nanoparticles or messenger RNA (mRNA) for in vivo imaging and develop approaches for delivering RNA in vivo for disease treatment and cancer prevention. The laboratory aims to train the next generation of scientific leaders and develop research capabilities that can translate advances in RNA nanotechnology into biomedical applications and therapeutics. In vivo RNA imaging and delivery. Key Responsibilities Conduct postdoctoral research in RNA nanotechnology and related interdisciplinary areas. Investigate RNA structure, dynamics, function and interactions with proteins. Apply modern technologies to RNA nanoparticles and mRNA. Chemically modify RNA nanoparticles or mRNA for biomedical and imaging applications. Investigate approaches for in vivo RNA delivery. Contribute to research targeting disease treatment and cancer prevention. Apply experimental and computational methods appropriate to the research project. Analyse and communicate research findings through scientific publications and presentations. Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary research environment. Contribute to the training and development of emerging technologies in RNA nanotechnology. Required Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD in one of the following fields or a closely related discipline: Biophysics. Chemistry. Biochemistry. Cell Biology. Molecular Biology. High motivation for interdisciplinary scientific research. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in optics or imaging involving RNA or proteins is preferred. Relevant experience in RNA nanotechnology, molecular biology, nucleic acid chemistry, RNA therapeutics, RNA delivery, biophysics, imaging or computational structural biology may also be valuable for the research environment.
