• This position has a set hourly rate plus uncapped commission. The base rate will be $28.00/hr. for the first 60 days and $20.00/hr. after the first 60 days.

Remote work May be considered for candidates based in the States of: Washington, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin. The Consumer Loan Specialist will maintain a pipeline of existing and potential members and bring customer loans from origination (primarily through inbound engagements through the phone, referrals, and online applications) through to loan decision. This is a performance-based sales role which offers base pay plus uncapped commissions. This is an exciting opportunity bring forth new ideas and see those ideas come to life! WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• - Originates loans and communicates decisions to members on consumer loan applications including auto, boat, RV, personal loans, and credit cards from various sources.
• - Builds strong rapport and relationships with current and potential members.
• - Engages a variety of audiences through clear and effective communications.
• - Effectively prioritizes multiple assignments on a consistent basis within expected timeframes.
• - Meets or exceeds individual monthly loan production and ancillary product goals; contributes to team and organization wide goals.
• - Submits loan applications into the loan processing system aligned to department expectations.
• - Collect all required documents from each member to ensure applications can be properly assessed.
• - Partners with the processing team and branches to ensure a seamless loan closing experience.
• - Demonstrates flexibility under changing conditions and adapts to new circumstances in order to continuously drive results.
• - Addresses issues effectively to ensure high-quality member service experiences.
• - Takes action to stay informed of all compliance requirements, training, policies and procedures that are relevant to consumer lending.
• - Supports, promotes, and cross-sells credit union products and services that align to member needs.
• - Provides recommendations that may improve processes and/or service to internal and external customers.
• - Develops and utilizes systems and processes to ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• - Clearly communicates lending requirements to members.
• - Other duties may be assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a financial institution or experience originating loans.
• Written and spoken fluency in Spanish.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications:

• - 1 year experience originating and/or processing consumer loan applications.
• - Comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the process for automobile purchases.

Working Conditions:

• This is a hybrid role with work primarily performed remotely in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State. This role may be eligible for virtual work, in and outside the State of Washington in approved locations.
• Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
• The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Scheduled for Saturday hours on a rotating basis.
