We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Associate Sales Representative to join our team in Belmont, Michigan. Position Overview The Associate Sales Representative is an entry‑level sales role designed to develop future sales talent within Wynalda Packaging. Working closely with our Director of Sales, you will receive hands‑on training and mentorship while learning the packaging industry, our products, customers, and sales process. Initially, you will support and manage established customer accounts, assist with customer projects, and participate in customer meetings and sales activities. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will gradually take on increased sales responsibilities and develop the skills needed to advance into a Territory Sales Representative role. This position is based out of our Belmont, Michigan headquarters and requires candidates to reside in the Greater Grand Rapids area. What You’ll Learn Consultative B2B sales strategies Account management and customer relationship development Packaging and printing manufacturing processes Project management and customer lifecycle management Prospecting and business development techniques Territory management fundamentals CRM systems and sales pipeline management Proposal development and customer presentations Key Responsibilities Partner with and shadow the Director of Sales to learn the business, sales process, and customer base. Assist in managing and supporting existing customer accounts. Build strong relationships with customers by providing responsive communication and excellent service. Participate in customer meetings, plant tours, presentations, and business reviews. Coordinate customer projects with internal design, production, and customer service teams. Help track opportunities, customer interactions, and account activity within the company’s CRM platform. Support proposal preparation, pricing requests, and project follow‑up activities. Learn to identify growth opportunities within existing customer accounts. Develop foundational prospecting and business development skills. Represent Wynalda Packaging professionally and positively in all customer interactions. Qualifications Associate’s degree, but equivalent experience will be considered. Strong interest in sales, business development, account management, or customer‑facing business roles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and accept coaching. Proficient with Microsoft Office and technology platforms. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Must reside in the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Required Internship, part‑time, or professional experience in sales, customer service, business development, marketing, account management, or related fields. Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms. Exposure to manufacturing, packaging, printing, logistics, or industrial environments. Demonstrated leadership through work, athletics, student organizations, or volunteer activities. Preferred Internship, part‑time, or professional experience in sales, customer service, business development, marketing, account management, or related fields. Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms. Exposure to manufacturing, packaging, printing, logistics, or industrial environments.
