Sales Manager – New York Material Handling Alta Material Handling is seeking a Sales Manager to manage territory equipment sales across New York with 30% travel. Salary $100,000 base plus bonuses and commissions. Responsibilities Implement and execute a successful sales strategy in the designated region. Drive sales growth while maintaining gross profit objectives. Recruit, train, and manage territory equipment sales reps. Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market to achieve company sales goals and profitability. Ensure knowledge of warehouse products sold. Oversee performance and development of Account Managers. Prepare action plans for sales leads and prospects. Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets. Assist in development and implementation of marketing plans as needed. Conduct one‑on‑one reviews with Account Managers to improve communication, training needs, and performance. Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance. Provide accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications, maintaining maximum profit margin. Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Managers. Assist Account Managers with proposal presentations and RFP responses. Ensure Account Managers meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes. Set examples for Account Managers in personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits. Conduct regular coaching and counseling to build motivation and selling skills. Maintain client contact to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Promote proactive use of eCRM as our CRM vehicle. Desired Skills and Qualifications 5 years B2B sales management experience. Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent required. Warehouse product experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fast‑paced, high‑energy individual with an aggressive sales style. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Compensation and Benefits Base salary $100,000 per year plus bonuses and commissions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, 10 paid holidays, company laptop, and competitive wages.
