2nd Shift Laser/Fabrication OperatorLocation: Louisville, KYPay: $23.75/hour + $2.00 Shift Differential + Attendance IncentiveSchedule: Monday–Thursday | 4:00 PM–2:30 AM + Every Other FridayEmployment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-HirePosition OverviewSnelling Staffing is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Laser/Fabrication Operator for a leading manufacturing company in Louisville. This position is responsible for cutting, shaping, forming, and fabricating metal and other materials to produce quality finished products according to customer specifications.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial machine shop equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read schematics and accurately verify measurements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate laser equipment and other industrial machine shop equipment.Use drill presses, lathes, mills, and related fabrication equipment.Read and interpret product schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.Measure and verify dimensions and product specifications.Mark and cut materials according to required specifications.Cut, shape, form, and fabricate parts for finished products.Ensure parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured.Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.Troubleshoot products and perform stress testing to identify potential issues.Document and report product malfunctions or quality concerns.Perform equipment changeovers and preventive maintenance as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous laser, fabrication, machining, or manufacturing experience preferred.Ability to operate industrial machine shop equipment.Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly instructions.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good organizational skills with a focus on precision and quality.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Self-motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods.Ability to work extended hours as needed.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the workday.Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.Safety RequirementsEmployees must follow all applicable safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE, which may include:Hi-Visibility VestSteel-Toe ShoesSafety GlassesGloves, when applicableEar Plugs, when applicableWhy Apply Through Snelling?Snelling Staffing connects qualified candidates with quality employers throughout the Louisville area.
