Overview: Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Remove orders from the trolley or pull used merchandise for mending, replacement, and exchange. Pull badges/emblems and attach them to order forms, sort batches by garment families, sew badges/emblems on garments, and hem pants. Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet specified quality standards and company grading policy for used garments (e.g., rips, tears, holes, ink spots, missing buttons, loose hems, stains). Accurately count and sort merchandise, sew badges/emblems straight and on the proper garments. Replace garments on the trolley and push the completed trolley to the next station. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in all production activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions. Basic math skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Work independently and as part of a team. Meet attendance schedule. Working Environment/Safety Requirements: Work is performed in a warehouse setting and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust and noise. Work is based on a shift schedule, may include weekends, and overtime may be required as needed. Education: High school degree or equivalent preferred. Compensation: The hourly rate that Vestis reasonably expects to pay for this position ranges from $19.07, depending on circumstances, including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
