Job Description:\n\nDescription:\n Job Title - SUDP Chief Seattle Club\nSchedule - M-F 5 am - 2 pm\nCompensation - $75,296\nSigning Bonus: This position includes a $2,500 signing bonus. Check out the compelling stories told by our patients, clients, and staff members that provide more information and a clear picture regarding our organization’s essential work. \n\n \nThis dynamic position plays an important role in helping ETS accomplish our mission! \nJob Summary: \n\n The Treatment in Motion (TIM) Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) Chief Seattle Club (CSC) role is part of the Counseling and Behavioral Health team that supports ETS’ mission through assessment, individual and group counseling, case management, community-based outreach and engagement, and overall patient care for patients enrolled in ETS’ Treatment in Motion Program. \n This role makes a critical difference at ETS by serving as the primary care team coordinator for their assigned patients, and by connecting individuals to Evergreen Services Mobile Dispensary (TIM) and other community and clinic-based services, through community outreach and engagement. \n This position is embedded within our community partner organization, Chief Seatle Club. In this role the TIM SUDP carries out responsibilities the demonstrate a commitment to Indigenous and Organizational Values: Providing a sacred space to nurture, affirm, and renew the spirit of urban Native people, maintaining cultural integrity. \n\n \nWhat you contribute to this role – Responsibilities: \n\n Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.? \n Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism. \n Consistently implement established agency policies and treatment procedures regarding work with assigned patients. \n Conduct community-based outreach and engagement activities to connect individuals with TIM and other community and clinic-based services. \n Work closely with Reach and other outreach services team members to support individuals seeking MOUD services. \n Develop and maintain relationships with community service providers to facilitate community referrals to TIM. \n Provide community-based SUD services for individuals seeking and participating in MOUD services. \n Provide initial intake, assessment, individual and group counseling, and case management services to assigned patients. \n Consistently maintain professional boundaries with patients and coworkers. \n Perform prompt, accurate completion of progress notations of all interactions with patients in assigned patient files. \n Carry out professional preparation and prompt submission of: \n Initial intake, ASAM assessment, and individual service plan (ISP) \n Conduct ISP reviews that exceed regulatory guidelines \n Responses to positive drug test / breathalyzer results \n Coordinate and schedule patient care teams \n Letters of assistance and referral for assigned patients. \n Closing treatment summaries for discharged patients \n Act consistently to protect the confidentiality of all patients and the integrity of professional staff communication and behavior. \n Adhere to all the confidentiality requirements and guidelines outlined in the 42 CFR, Part 2 federal regulations pertaining to SUD treatment records. \n Serve as a leader or co-leader of therapy or educational groups and provide other treatment activities (such as intake assessments). \n Meet with primary supervisor for the purposes of patient clinical consultation and clinical skill development, and/or other designated supervisor staff for the purposes of reviewing patient documentation and treatment planning issues. \n Coordinate assigned patient treatment with other staff departments (such as dispensary, reception, medical, case management, peers, and psychiatric staff). \n Participate in care team meetings to respond to and support patient care needs throughout treatment. \n Take responsibility for the observation of patient drug test sample collection for the purpose of drug screen urinalysis when needed. \n Travel regularly in support of community based MOUD services, required. \n Provide clinic-based counseling services as needed. \n\nFollowing are the Chief Seattle Club -specific job responsibilities as outlined in the specific contract for this position. Note that though there is some repetition to the core TIM SUDP responsibilities listed above, the following job duties provide information directly in alignment with contract requirements for appropriate job description reference, to help ensure success in carrying out the role. \n\n Accountability: Manage own work and the work of teams, take ownership of actions and decisions, and strive to deliver high-quality work and care. \n Collaboration: Work as part of a team, share responsibility for common goals, and collaborate with colleagues across organizations. \n Communication: Practice effective and clear communication, demonstrate empathy, and maintain transparency in decision-making. \n Story-First Orientation: Recognize the unique needs of the diverse community served, prioritize lived experiences and needs of Participants, and deliver responsive and innovative care. \n Attend staff, supervision and grant-related meetings. \n Collect and distribute required data for grant and agency reporting. \n Handle complaints and conflicts professionally. \n Work independently and maintain strong communication between partner agencies. \n Care coordination skills and knowledge of King County community resources / potential referrals for unhoused individuals \n SUD assessment, counseling and case management skills \n Community outreach skills \n\nNote: New and/or different duties and responsibilities may be assigned to this job at any time. Requirements:\n \nWhat you bring to this role – Qualifications: \n\n Credential (License, Certification, Provider One, etc.) \n Department of Health license for Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) is required. \n Education and/or Relevant and Lived Experience (if applicable):?? \n Academic training in the social service field and in substance use disorder treatment is required. Individuals with lived experience related to our organization's patient population is highly desired. \n Work experience related to substance use disorders, social work, or outreach programs. \n Experience providing services from a harm reduction perspective to individual experiencing behavioral health challenges is highly desirable. \n Knowledge and Skills: \n Have an understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff. \n Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. \n Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills.????? \n Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently. \n Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving. \n Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail. \n Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information. \n Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues. \n Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change. \n\n \n\n Following are the Special Skills and Knowledge provided by the Chief Seattle Club as part of their contract. \n Strong computer skills with the ability to work within multiple Electronic Health Records. \n Excellent communication skills. \n Ability to handle complaints and conflicts calmly and professionally. \n Experience working with homeless and/or low-income populations. \n Understanding of historical and intergenerational trauma among Indigenous communities. \n Strong crisis intervention skills. \n Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under stressful conditions. \n Great customer service skills. \n Familiarity with basic computer and mobile hardware/software. \n Knowledge and Skills: \n An understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff. \n Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. \n Experience providing community based MOUD services preferred \n Be creative in developing and implementing effective approaches to MOUD treatment \n Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills. \n Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently. \n Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving. \n Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail. \n Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information. \n Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues. \n Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change. \n\nAdditional Essential Information: \nPhysical Conditions and Requirements: \n\n The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes or other bio-hazardous materials when carrying out job functions. There is also potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. ?ETS will provide employees with appropriate training to limit the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Policies and procedures are in place addressing each item specifically. \n The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and kneel; occasionally to climb balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl. \n In addition, the position frequently requires the employee to work outside in inclement weather. \n The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. \n Following are the special Environmental/Working conditions provided by the Chief Seattle Club as part of their contract. \n Potential exposure to the elements and physical exertion due to multi-site responsibilities. \n Most positions at ETS and CSC are exposed to members of the community who have experienced or are experiencing trauma in various forms including but not limited to: domestic violence, sexual violence, homelessness, unemployment, financial hardship, etc. As a result, staff are at risk of secondary trauma.
