Staff Accountant (JN -082026-427902) Galveston, Texas Salary: USD30 - USD33.65 per hour THIS POSITION IS A 100% IN OFFICE POSITION IN GALVESTON, TX. MUST LIVE WITHIN A 30 MILE RADIUS AND ABLE TO COMMUTE TO GALVESTON DAILY. THIS IS A TEMP-TO-HIRE POSITION SO WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES THAT ARE CURRENTLY NOT WORKING AND AVAILABLE TO WORK IMMEDIATELY. Galveston, TX area company is in need of a Staff Accountant on a temporary-to-hire basis. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and maintain journal entries and general ledger accounts Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation Minimum Educational and Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2+ years of experience as an Accountant handling general ledger accounting functions Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) Working knowledge of GAAP reporting Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Salary is $63-70K on a permanent basis.
