Maintenance Manager

Role As Maintenance Manager, you will lead a maintenance team and oversee maintenance and preventive maintenance for assigned communities, ensuring physical building components, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and major appliances meet company standards and regulatory requirements. You will conduct property visits, collaborate with on‑site supervisors, increase community proficiency, and maintain oversight of maintenance operations. Responsibilities Manage maintenance and preventive maintenance efforts for one or more communities. Ensure compliance with operational standards, legal mandates, and environmental regulations. Conduct property visits and assess maintenance performance. Collaborate with on‑site supervisors to improve proficiency and performance. Document and report on maintenance activities and timekeeping. Qualifications A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, where applicable. 3–5 years of apartment maintenance or related field experience with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, boilers, chillers, sprinklers, and steam systems. Strong understanding of mandatory environmental and safety protocols. At least 2 years of people‑management experience and ability to coach and develop associates. EPA TypeI or II certification, where applicable. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, where applicable. Must be willing to be on‑call as required and respond within 1hour of dispatch. Excellent communication skills with associates, residents, and vendors. Must keep mandatory administrative records and documentation on time.
