As a Mechanical Designer, you will contribute to the design and development of custom automated and robotic equipment for a wide range of industrial applications. You will leverage your creativity, technical expertise, and innovative mindset to develop high-performance solutions tailored to our clients' specific needs. You will be responsible for the design of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as performing the calculations, analyses, and studies required to ensure successful project execution. You will also be involved in the R&D group to develop new technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine innovative mechanical concepts. Design mechanical equipment using SolidWorks, including 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, assembly drawings, and installation layouts. Perform engineering calculations and sizing of mechanical components. Conduct technical analyses and studies, including cycle time analysis, production throughput evaluations, and feasibility studies. Participate in the selection, procurement, and integration of components and equipment. Support manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities in the workshop. Provide technical support during equipment installation at customer sites. Participate in system commissioning, performance testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Qualifications and Experience: College diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field, combined with relevant professional experience. 10+ years of experience in the mechanical design of custom automated and robotic equipment. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software. Knowledge of machine safety standards CSA Z432 and CSA Z434. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Availability to travel occasionally for system commissioning and customer support activities. GE Vernova - PROD
