Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist Weekly Pay $1648 - $1848 Shift Shift 12 Hour Day Shifts Per Week 3 Scheduled Hours 36 Start Date 06/15/2026 End Date 09/19/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed. The therapist is expected to operate with minimal supervision while executing core responsibilities within the scope of their professional license. Assignment Duration This is an 8-week contract position, with the possibility of extension. Schedule Day shift, 3 days per week (3x12.0), with a preference to work both day and night shifts as needed. Responsibilities Evaluate patients and recommend personalized treatment plans. Provide education to patients regarding treatments, tests, and equipment they will encounter. Conduct physician-prescribed treatments utilizing various ventilatory and oxygenation equipment. Perform various respiratory procedures including but not limited to suctioning, oximetry monitoring, and pulmonary function studies. Assist with complex procedures like bronchoscopy and chest tube placements. Maintain and monitor mechanical ventilation on different types of equipment. Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient care and report results accurately. Document all pertinent information of treatments in patient charts as per policy. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist License. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification is mandatory before hire.
