Step into a meaningful role supporting students' communication needs in a highly collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity is tailored for speech-language pathologists and speech-language pathology assistants with a strong passion for helping students from ages 5 to 22 thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This position offers a flexible schedule of 32-40 hours per week, typically between 8am and 4pm, aligning with student hours from 8:45am to 3pm. You'll enjoy working using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including both on-site and teletherapy modalities, and supporting learners with a spectrum of abilities. Experience with augmentative and alternative communication devices like Proloquo2 and Touch Chat is highly valued, as is familiarity with supporting students who may occasionally exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression or self-injurious actions.

Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged, including those in their Clinical Fellowship Year. A supportive environment and mentorship for new professionals are available.

What you’ll bring:

• Active Virginia SLP license required
• ASHA CCCs are a plus; clinical fellows (CFs) are welcome
• Experience with school-aged children in either traditional or teletherapy settings
• Applied knowledge of ABA principles and verbal behavior methodologies
• Comfort or experience with AAC devices (Proloquo2, Touch Chat) highly desired
• Capacity to support students with behavioral support plans
• Commitment to collaborative teamwork with educators and families

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging speech-language therapy to students ages 5–22
• Create and implement IEPs, track student progress, and document services
• Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
• Integrate AAC and behavioral strategies into therapy sessions
• Adapt therapy for both in-person and teletherapy as needed
