This role offers the chance to work within a school environment, providing services between 32-40 hours per week, with hours aligning to an 8am-4pm schedule (student day 8:45am-3pm). Gain valuable experience serving a diverse and dynamic student population, including those utilizing AAC devices and those who may present with behavioral challenges.

Professional qualifications to excel in this position include:

• Current Virginia SLP license (or eligibility)
• CCC-SLP, CFY, or SLPA credentials welcome
• Knowledge of ABA principles and verbal behavior for maximum student support
• Comfort and skill in delivering services in schools, via teletherapy, or in healthcare-related settings
• Experience working with pediatric populations, including those with AAC devices like Proloquo2 and Touch Chat, is highly desirable
• Previous work with students exhibiting challenging behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, or property destruction considered an asset

As part of your responsibilities, you'll:

• Deliver speech-language services tailored to students' IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
• Offer expertise in AAC solutions and behavioral strategies for optimal student outcomes
• Provide direct services, teletherapy, and consultative support as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate actively in IEP meetings
