Job Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our client's team in Hayward, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity for an engineer with 5–8 years of experience in structural design, BIM coordination, and production integration who is seeking to translate cutting-edge R&D into scalable, code-compliant, factory-ready residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt and integrate core structural R&D solutions into project-specific residential floor plans while ensuring strict design integrity and code compliance.
• Generate permit packages, shop drawings, and digital production files by maintaining fully coordinated, fabrication-ready Revit models.
• Bridge the gap between engineering design software (Revit) and mechanical manufacturing tools (SolidWorks) to maintain high data accuracy across factory workflows.
• Provide live engineering support on the factory floor and construction sites during first-article builds to resolve assembly gaps and execution conflicts.
• Drive cross-disciplinary clash detection across architectural, structural, and MEP models to deliver error-free release packages for manufacturing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of practical structural design and modeling experience, with strong proficiency in Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) or light-gauge steel framing.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit paired with expert command of US structural building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISI S100).
• Proven track record coordinating structural details against Architectural and MEP constraints in multi-disciplinary workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the versatility to collaborate with both design engineers and factory floor operators.
