We are seeking a driven, high-energy Family Law Attorney to manage a robust caseload and regularly represent clients in court. This role requires a skilled litigator who excels in fast-paced environments, maintains a high standard of client advocacy, and balances active casework with continued professional growth.

Position Overview

The Family Law Attorney will handle a full caseload of family law matters, including:

• Divorce
• Child custody
• Child support
• Alimony
• Related probate and civil litigation matters

Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing legal needs, developing case strategies, drafting pleadings and motions, and reviewing financial and custodial documents.

The attorney will appear in Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts for hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials, as well as conduct depositions and negotiate with opposing counsel. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues and support staff, maintaining accurate case files, and ensuring all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Salem, Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of legal experience, with a strong background in family law.
• Demonstrated experience handling family law disputes.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex legal issues involving divorce, custody, support, alimony, and probate matters.
• Strong experience drafting and arguing motions.
• Experience advocating for clients at various stages of family law matters, including pre-trial conferences, review hearings, and trials.
• Experience preparing for and conducting depositions, including examining parties and witnesses.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission and good standing.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation, client counseling, and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases and court deadlines.
• Prior experience practicing family law in Massachusetts and appearing in Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts is required.
