Mainframe Automation Engineer
Mainframe Automation Engineer Required Technical Skill Set
z/os maintenance, DB2, CICS & MF MQ, REXX Must have – Must-Have
- Strong knowledge in mainframe hardware, operation & z/os maintenance, DB2, CICS & MF MQ
- Understanding in mainframe SMPE, dysprosium testing
- Automation knowledge- Rexx programming
- Connectivity test from MF - Rexx programming + socket calls.
- Responsible to understand the current IVPs/ logs files to determine/ provide feedback to the mainframe on any additional ways to validate the MF changes/ upgrade
- Work with MF team to coordinate with the app dev and the corresponding ETE functional test teams to have them run their regression test for the MF changes / upgrades.
Responsibility / Expectations from the Role
- Interact with client team and guide them on best practices.
- Develop automation framework for Testing Mainframe Infrastructure components.
- Identify new areas where automation can be implemented to enable value add.
