This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with school-age children and wants to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and build friendships after their school day. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of school-age children Create a positive, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, arts and crafts, and enrichment experiences Assist children with homework and school assignments when needed Encourage positive social interactions, teamwork, and respectful behavior Provide opportunities for indoor and outdoor play Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Build positive relationships with children and their families Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day Follow all center policies, safety procedures, and state childcare regulations Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration Help create a fun and memorable experience for children in our after-school program Qualifications Previous experience working with school-age children preferred Childcare, teaching, camp, tutoring, or youth-program experience is a plus High school diploma or equivalent Must be dependable, responsible, and energetic Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Must enjoy working with children and have a positive attitude Must meet Florida childcare employment requirements Schedule Part-time, after-school hours Monday–Friday, with additional hours available during school breaks, holidays, and summer camp.
