Group Therapy Lead

The Group Therapy Lead provides direct therapeutic support to youth through evidence-based interventions, structured group therapy, and crisis management. This position plays a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment while helping clients build skills and achieve individualized treatment goals.

The Group Therapy Lead collaborates with families, schools, clinical teams, and community partners to coordinate quality care and ensure services are responsive to each client's needs. This role also emphasizes strong clinical documentation, data-informed treatment planning, professional supervision, quality improvement, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Client Services

• Build and maintain strong, therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Facilitate structured group therapy using evidence-based interventions and practices.
• Develop and implement interventions aligned with individualized treatment goals.
• Implement Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) and crisis management strategies.
• Utilize CPI and de-escalation techniques to safely respond to crisis situations.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate effectively with clients, families, guardians, school personnel, and internal teams.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and weekly treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support individual client and program goals.
• Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Quality & Compliance

• Use client data and outcomes to inform treatment planning and clinical decision-making.
• Contribute to quarterly quality, productivity, and performance goals.
• Maintain compliance with professional licensure requirements, billing standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
  
• Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing training and development.

Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities

• Complete clinical documentation and billing accurately and within required timelines.
• Utilize Credible reports to monitor client outcomes, productivity, and performance.
• Ensure group therapy spaces are safe, organized, prepared, and appropriately stocked.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC license in the State of Ohio.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience working in office, school, and/or mental health treatment settings.
• Experience implementing behavior modification strategies and therapeutic interventions.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced therapeutic environment serving youth.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is based on education, licensure, qualifications, and experience.

• Bachelor's Level: Starting at $55,000 annually
• Master's Level: Starting at $59,000 annually
