Senior Systems Engineer – SaaS / ServiceNow (Ref: 5803)

Location: West Sacramento, CA – 100% Onsite
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Duration: Up to 12 Months, with Potential Extensions
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, Onsite

Position Overview:

Estrada Consulting, Inc. (ECI) is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer for a long-term consulting engagement in West Sacramento, California.

This position requires full-time onsite work five days per week.

The Senior Systems Engineer will provide hands-on technical expertise supporting enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications throughout their lifecycle, including implementation, enhancement, configuration, customization, validation, technical support, defect resolution, dashboard development, integration, vendor management, and ongoing operational support.

Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Electronic Content Management systems, Jama, Riskonnect, or comparable solutions is highly desirable. The RFO specifically identifies these types of applications in the Statement of Work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate SaaS solutions for technical architecture, API capabilities, system compatibility, security/compliance, SSO readiness, and service-level requirements.
• Configure, deploy, integrate, enhance, test, and support enterprise SaaS applications.
• Integrate SaaS applications with identity management solutions, APIs, data pipelines, internal systems, and databases.
• Configure identity and access management, role-based access controls, user groups, and administrative roles.
• Manage SaaS application onboarding, offboarding, user access, and application lifecycle activities.
• Monitor application availability, performance, API latency, and vendor service status.
• Troubleshoot application outages and technical issues and coordinate resolution with SaaS vendors.
• Manage vendor support tickets and communicate application issues and downtime.
• Test and deploy vendor updates, new features, and application changes.
• Review application usage and metrics to support SaaS optimization and governance.
• Support SaaS application decommissioning, data extraction and archival, access termination, and related vendor coordination.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to appropriate personnel.

These responsibilities come directly from the RFO's five SOW phases: evaluation, deployment/integration, operational management, optimization/governance, and decommissioning/offboarding.

Mandatory Qualifications

Candidates must meet ALL four Mandatory Qualifications:

• SaaS Implementation, Enhancement & Testing
  A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application implementation, enhancement, and testing.
• SaaS Technical & Administrative Support
  A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in technical and administrative support of SaaS applications, such as researching technical issues, debugging, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• SaaS Application Onboarding & Configuration
  A minimum of seven (7) years of experience onboarding SaaS applications, including configuring SaaS systems, generating dashboards, and working with third-party vendors and SaaS clients.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), such as analyzing, solutioning, detailed design, development, testing, automation, and deployment.

Desired Qualifications:

• A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on coding experience in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with technical integration between SaaS solutions and the ServiceNow Now Platform , including Incident Management, Change Management, Service Level Management, and Service Catalog.
• Experience maintaining and administering ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM), and Information Technology Operations Management (ITOM) .
• Extensive experience using, defining, and generating ServiceNow reports, including status, statistical, and analytical reporting, for SaaS applications and solutions across the enterprise.
• Experience with AI technologies , such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or comparable technologies.
• Experience using tools to identify and resolve application performance issues .
• Experience with metrics, analytics, and logging .
• Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
