Mid-level SCADA and Industrial Control System Engineer – Arlington, VA WSP is currently initiating a search for a role that involves managing system requirements, analyzing system architectures, conducting system integrations, and applying systems engineering methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. Your Impact Manage and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs. Analyze system architectures and recommend improvements to optimize performance, reliability, and safety. Conduct system integrations and evaluate performance to ensure compliance with specifications. Assist in overseeing interface management and ensure compatibility between system components. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks that may impact project outcomes. Apply proven systems engineering methodologies to resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering discipline and prior systems engineering experience. US citizenship and ability to obtain a US government Secret/Top Secret clearance. Engineer in Training Certification. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients. Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet project deadlines. Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, tools, and practices. Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others. Effective self‑leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adhering to WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
