Sports Medicine Full-time Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location & Hours Work location: Texas Health Southwest - Fitness Center, 6301 Harris Parkway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, between 7:00AM-6:00PM, schedule varies, No weekends and no federal holidays. Either (4) 10-hour shifts or (5) 8-hour shifts. At least 2x/week - 7AM start time and 2x/week - 6PM end time. Excellent experienced team with very high engagement and safety scores Here's What You Need Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required Master's degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required Doctorate Physical Therapy upon hire Required. Prefer 2-years prior Physical Therapy experience. PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required. Other Board-Certified Clinical Specialist upon hire preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others. Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills. What You Will Do Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care. Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment. Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment. Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel. Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
