About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel for the Americas to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor, providing support on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial transactions, employment issues, corporate governance, data privacy, and compliance activities. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience, a Juris Doctor degree, and active bar membership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, particularly in the technology and SaaS sectors, and experience in employment law. A proactive, business-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment are essential. Key responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel include negotiating and managing various commercial agreements, advising on employment and people-related matters, and ensuring legal compliance in all activities. The role also involves developing and maintaining legal processes, leveraging AI-enabled tools, and championing an AI-first mindset. The candidate should be adept at cross-functional collaboration, strategic support, and have a proven track record of building trusted relationships. While not mandatory, experience in e-commerce, technology companies, and a background in privacy, compliance, or risk management is preferred.
