Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses prepared to deliver high-acuity care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center.


We're looking for ER nurses who thrive under pressure, think quickly, and have the clinical experience and judgment to respond when a patient's condition can change in seconds.


What You'll Do

• Rapidly assess and prioritize emergency and trauma patients
• Provide critical interventions, including IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and stabilization
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
• Assist with emergency procedures and point-of-care testing
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary trauma team
• Educate and support patients and families
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

Requirements


What You'll Need

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program; BSN preferred
• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum 3-5 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma environment

Compensation & Benefits
$58.21/hour + shift differentials + full 1199 Union benefits, including healthcare, retirement benefits, paid time off, and more.
