Come join our TJX family—a Fortune 100 company and the world's leading off-price retailer.The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the financial close process and related activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the related TJX Financial Statements, as well as presenting and providing analysis of the se financial statements. The Financial Accounting Manager is also responsible for the hiring, supervision, and development of a team of accountants.Manage the development and provide mentorship and training to 2 -3 Financial Accountants. Delegate work and assignments.Review journal entries, account reconciliations and complex accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of Financial StatementsReview and analyze Financial Statements and supporting schedules/disclosures – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc. with a focus on accuracy and timeliness and conformity with US GAAPEnsure control environment and SOX controls are maintainedOwn the oversight of special projects, management presentations and Ad Hoc requestsIndependently lead the accounting team in meetings with business partners on accounting mattersIdentify & implement opportunities for operational improvement & efficienciesResearch and interpret new and recently issued accounting standardsLead discussions with Internal and External auditors with related auditsWho We Are Looking For: You.5+ years of Accounting, Audit or Finance experiencePrior management experience (1 to 2+ Years Preferred)Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalentCPA/MBA a plusPublic Accounting a plusTechnical accounting and strong understanding of GAAP (public/private or mix)Excellent interpersonal / relationships skills / Strong communication skills (verbal and written)Proven track record to delegate and lead team to accomplish business goals, Ability to assess and develop talentOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and prioritize optimally, with consideration of broader team goalsExperience leading presentations to senior managementAdaptable, dynamic problem solver with solutioning skillsShown proficiency with Microsoft Office ApplicationsOracle/ERP experience and exposure to OneStream reporting a plusProject management experienceBenefits include Associate discount; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; HSA; health care FSA; life insurance; short/long-term disability; paid holidays/vacation /sick/bereavement/parental leave; EAP; incentive programs for management; auto/home insurance discounts; tuition reimbursement; scholarship program; adoption/surrogacy assistance; smoking cessation; child care/cell phone discounts; pet/legal insurance; credit union; referral bonuses. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
