Certified Qi Gong Instructor/Facilitator | Qi GongProSidian is seeking a Certified Qi Gong Instructor/Facilitator for on-site and virtual wellness and well-being services on a contract basis. This position supports the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector, focusing on human capital solutions for clients such as the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The role is located in CONUS - USA (virtual) and across the CONUS - VISN 5 region, including Maryland, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia, along with parts of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky.ProSidian's virtual wellness and well-being services through Qi Gong offer certified instructors for complementary and integrative (CIH) wellness and well-being health approaches used with conventional medicine as part of a strategy for integrative health. This program activity combines traditional care and complementary techniques in a holistic, patient-centered model, focusing on well-being, healing relationships, and evidence-based practices.Qi Gong courses/instructions/facilitations are delivered through a secure, easy-to-use online platform that ensures simple navigation and a smooth experience for users of all technical skill levels. Certified, experienced instructors will lead all sessions, customizing content to meet the needs of diverse abilities and special populations, including older adults, prenatal participants, and individuals with mobility or balance challenges. Qi Gong is a holistic system of coordinated body movement, breath control, and meditation rooted in traditional Chinese medicine to cultivate and balance life energy (qi). Its practice modulates autonomic nervous function and may improve cardiovascular, respiratory, and immune system health.Responsibilities and duties include facilitating virtual and/or recorded sessions via a secure platform, delivering engaging, evidence-based wellness experiences aligned with VHA Directive 1137 and the Whole Health Initiative, customizing sessions for populations with special needs, maintaining cultural sensitivity to veteran populations, ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and a supportive online environment, tracking attendance where needed, collaborating with VISN-5 stakeholders for custom wellness programming, and supporting VHA's goals for improved well-being, stress reduction, and burnout mitigation.Desired qualifications for the Certified Qi Gong Instructor/Facilitator include active certification in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution or board, CPR/First Aid certification, knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA, patient privacy, and telehealth practices, understanding of CIH principles, minimum of 1–2 years of experience in virtual facilitation or equivalent in-person delivery, and strong technical proficiency using digital wellness platforms.Education/experience requirements/qualifications include an associate's or bachelor's degree in health sciences, kinesiology, counseling, psychology, or a related field, relevant field training or workshops in veteran-centric care, trauma-informed delivery, or CIH practices, experience with veteran populations or government/VA services, Qigong Teacher Certification from National Qigong Association (NQA), Medical Qigong Certification, and Mind-Body Interventions Certificate from CIH-aligned programs.Skills required include clear verbal communication, adaptability in modifying sessions, digital fluency, group management, time management, veteran-centered care orientation, emotional intelligence, cultural competence, accountability, health literacy, and patient empowerment.Ancillary details of the roles include providing meditative and movement-based energy practices to reduce stress and improve wellness, focusing on slow movements, posture, and breathwork tailored to chronic pain management.Other details include fully remote/virtual delivery using a VHA-approved secure telehealth platform, unlimited access for veterans and staff to both live and on-demand content, flexible session scheduling, minimum availability of 5–10 hours per week, comfortable with basic troubleshooting, access to stable internet and devices, following HIPAA, Section 508 Accessibility, and VA virtual health policy guidelines, contributing to monthly usage and impact reports, attending quarterly virtual check-ins with project managers or VISN-5 coordinators, using encrypted communication, and following VA data handling practices.
