All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability or veteran status.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site, located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, MD, involved in development and execution of the US Navy's Underwater Electromagnetic (UEM) Signatures Silencing program as a Test and Evaluation engineer. Other duties include, but not limited to:Navy Surface Ships and Submarine on-board counter measure systems and fleet supportEnsure proper testing and evaluation of on-board and off-board UEM, navigation, communication, and tracking systemsProvide technical assistance and training to Navy operators.Education & Experience RequirementsMinimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.Internship experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus.Skills & Abilities RequirementsExperience using solid modeling, analysis, and evaluation of structural/component designExperience with mechanical measurement tools and techniquesExperience with developing technical solutions based on analysis or testingExperience with SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, AutoCAD, C++, Python, Power Point, MS Word & ExcelAbility to effectively communicate orally and in writingTravel will be required.Other requirements: Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
