Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, provides patient treatment and therapy by following an established plan of care directed and supervised by an OTR/L. Responsible for mentoring Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service. Responsibilities: Provides patienttherapy and treatment. Utilizes judgment and skills in implementing treatment plans. Physician communication is timely and documentation is up to date. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service Sets example. Monitors and holds co-workers accountable. Teamwork Answers questions. Communicates hospital and departmental information. Collaborates with other healthcare team members in a multi-disciplinary fashion. Assists in the orientation of new employees. Mentors students and other rehab services personnel as assigned. Development Proactively shares clinical expertise. Takes personal initiative to grow and develop professionally. Maintains clinical competencies. Other information: EDUCATION Associate Degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. EXPERIENCE None LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION Current NC Board of Occupational Therapy license. Occupational Therapist Assistant license or eligible.
