Lab Technician

Hiring Process: Profile Review with MedSol Clinical, Interview with Unit Manager at Facility - Radius: 60 MILES, Driver's License must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote

Department: LAB - MLS/MLT SMC "Certs: Do they need BLS (will they have contact w/ patients?) BLS is not required MLT or MT certified: (CA requires CLS) MLT, MT, or MLS certification through ASCP or AMT"

What areas do they cover? This is a generalist med tech position. They need to cover all areas of the lab.

Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties:

• Need experience working alone on the graveyard shift and be proficient in all areas of the lab, including blood bank.
• LIS System (ie. Polytech, Avalon, Orchard Software, Apollo, Prolis, BioTracer, etc.)
• Epic EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area? Wellsky for blood banking, Unity Real Time for QC, Data Innovations as our middleware

Lab Manager/Supervisor: No

Lab Assistant: No

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Graveyard shift. We don't allow self scheduling. Our schedule is for 6 weeks.
