Summary

The Verification Pharmacist will be responsible for, but not limited to, collaborating closely with pharmacy technicians to ensure the safe and accurate compounding and distribution of medications. This role requires expert knowledge in compounding practices and direct adherence to all regulatory standards (USP <795> , USP <797> , USP <800>), directly impacting patient well-being across diverse demographics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound prescriptions with precision and care, strictly adhering to USP <795> , USP <797> , and USP <800> and other relevant regulatory standards
• Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure timely and accurate medication verification and distributions
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage high volume orders (3,800 prescriptions/day), records, and compounding workflow
• Oversee and replenish medication supplies, managing inventory related to products

What We Require:

• Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree preferred
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy
• Expert proficiency in USP <795> , USP <797> , and USP <800>
• Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for team collaboration

Preferred Requirements:

• Retail pharmacy experience preferred
• IV Certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience working in a 503A or 503B specialized compounding environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting
• Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing
• Ability to work on site

Include shift schedule:

• Weekend Shift: Thursday through Sunday
• Hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
