Oakland, CA, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 6327 About the position We are seeking compassionate volunteers! Volunteers can make a big difference to Hospice patients and caregivers. Hospice is a comprehensive healthcare program, designed to help people who have a terminal illness and life expectancy of up to 6 months. As volunteers, we are able to add extra relief by offering companionship, light housekeeping, and a break for the caregiver who often gets burned out. Ways to Serve Sit and talk Read Play music Handle light housekeeping home repairs/lawn care Make memory books Complete office work Requirements 6-month commitment with at least 1-2 hours a week Complete Hospice volunteer training program (mostly online and takes about 12 hrs. to complete) Willing to undergo a background check (we pay for), and a TB test Why volunteer with us?
