Meat Service Clerk

Position Overview Location: Jerry's Foods, Edina. Reports to: Meat and Seafood Manager. Classification: Part Time. Union. Pay: Progressive scale from $15.00 - $18.00 / hour based on experience. Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours. Perks Store Discount Employee Assistance Programs Flexible Schedule Responsibilities Make lasting connections with customers. Fill and rotate cases and displays (may involve heavy lifting—up to 50 lbs). Assist with merchandising and receiving products to keep shelves full. Help maintain a clean and sanitary store. Work with the team on all tasks necessary to run an awesome department. Preferred Qualifications Friendly and outgoing, promotes customer service for the entire team. Experience working in a meat department. Knowledge of burger patties, meatloaf tins, kabobs, pork handling. Motivated to grow career and continue learning. Physical Requirements Frequent: lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., pushing over 2200 force lbs., walking, reaching, standing, stooping, squatting, turning. Equipment operation: meat saw, slicer, scale, racks, knives, grinder, cuber, bulker, mixer, patty machine, tenderizer, pressure washer, telephone, paging system. Occasional: forklift, pallet jack, flatbed. Frequent: 15% of shift or at least ten repetitions per shift. Occasional: less than 15% or fewer than ten repetitions.
