About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to lead its country club during a significant phase of development. The successful candidate will be a seasoned club leader with a strong background in financial management, organizational optimization, and a proven track record in maintaining high levels of member satisfaction and retention. This role demands a professional with a confident, hospitality-focused leadership style, capable of fostering a positive culture and engaging with both the Board of Directors and the membership. The GM/COO will be responsible for all operational aspects, including leading department heads, managing resources, and ensuring the club's strategic direction aligns with the long-term well-being of the membership. Applicants for the GM/COO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' of progressive leadership experience in a private member-focused club environment or a related field. A degree in hospitality management or business is highly desirable, and a Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation is preferred. The role requires a candidate with superior communication skills, a proactive operating style, and a strong understanding of food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at problem-solving, and capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with the Board, staff, and members. Responsibilities include financial management, employee relations, and a commitment to providing premier service and a wide range of recreational and social activities for the club's members.
