Job Summary:

Position Title: Sterile Processing Tech
Location: Portland, OR 97216
Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)
Work Schedule: 8 hours Days (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Operate sterilization equipment following established infection control standards.
• Prepare and distribute sterile instrument trays and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Perform quality checks to ensure instruments are clean, functional, and properly assembled.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock sterile supplies as needed.
• Follow OSHA, AAMI, Joint Commission, and facility infection prevention guidelines.
• Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Certification preferred.
• Previous sterile processing experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques, instrument handling, and infection control practices.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift instrument trays and stand for extended periods.
