Shuttle Driver

Safely transports passengers to and from parking lots to various drop-off points on the Lexington Medical Center campus. May be called upon to transport passenger, supplies and/or equipment items via hospital owned vehicles as a part of regular recurring duties or on specific occasions when needs arise.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: None
• Minimum Years of Experience: None
• Substitutable Education & Experience: None
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Must have and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle record and background screening as outlined in the Vehicle Safety policy (Subject to annual Motor Vehicle Record review and satisfactory results).
• Required Training: Proficient in the use of computer operations associated with review and approval of time, completion of training and other self service employee functions.

Essential Functions

• Safely and efficiently transports passengers to and from assigned parking areas to specific drop-off areas on the Lexington Medical Center campus.
• Follows local and state driving laws and road regulations.
• Keeps the hospital vehicle clean and in safe condition reporting any problems or vehicle performance or maintenance issues immediately.
• May be required to keep a log detailing activities, passenger volume and/or deliveries.

Duties & Responsibilities

• May be assigned the additional task of operating hospital owned vehicles to transport supplies, equipment and/or passengers via electric carts, trucks, vans and other appropriate vehicles.
• Reports any accident or injury immediately. (Vehicle Safety policy)
• Complies with policies and procedures to include but not limited to: Maintaining a positive attendance record by reporting to work on time and as scheduled.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of personal role in case of disaster, job and fire safety, equipment care and use of Safety Data Sheets.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
