Financial Analyst

PT UBA America’s Finance Department is responsible for financial, regulatory and management reporting, budgeting, performance management and business intelligence. The department focuses on supporting the CEO in strategy development, providing timely MIS reports, managing financial accounting and regulatory reporting. Role Summary This role reports to the CFO / Head of Finance Department and is responsible for expense management, fixed assets management, account reconciliations, preparation of MIS and performance reports, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Essential Functions Expense Management Accountable for job performance actions and decision-making aligned with bank risk appetite. Manage accounts payable function, processing invoices timely. Administer accrual, prepaid expense and accounts payable policies. Track MEPs, ensure cost control and compliance with expense policy. Analyze expenses, provide breakdown, trend analysis and budget variance analysis. Prepare annual expense budget and review departmental submissions. Ensure transparency of accounting records for expenses. Prepare 1099s, respond to external requests, maintain vendor records. Contribute to process improvements, e.g., transition to Paperless platform. Fixed Assets Management Ensure correct posting of asset acquisitions, disposals and depreciation in GL. Prepare annual capital expense and depreciation budget. Conduct physical counts per policy. Lead process improvements, e.g., transition to Sage platform. Strategy, Budgeting & Performance Management Contribute to development and review of Strategic Business Plan. Support CFO on annual budget development. Assist with budget-to-actual variance analysis. Monitor monthly budget achievement and prepare variance reports. Analyze business performance and prepare performance management reports. Monitor dormant accounts and escheatment activities. Reporting & Financial Close Produce daily reports such as CED/Due to & from HO report. Support Controller in daily, month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with internal and external reports, regulatory reports, audit reports. Support CFO with management reporting decks. Process Improvement & Organization Assess and design procedure improvements to automate tasks. Maintain organized finance materials and network folders. Support audit deliverables for internal and external auditors. Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management. General Responsibilities Comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML. Maintain integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality. Promote a professional work environment. Required Skills & Competencies Strong critical thinking with attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical, business writing and presentation skills. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Financial Analyst or Accounting certification preferred. Minimum 5 years accounting experience, preferably in a US bank or advisory/consulting firm. Experience in bookkeeping across multiple finance areas. Knowledge of US GAAP. Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
