Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract working 4x10-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities, requiring a minimum of 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 2 cath lab rooms,
• Patient population includes Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFib, and Bradycardia,
• Average daily census of 7-14 cases,
• Procedures performed include Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), pacemaker implantation, loop monitors, TEE, and cardioversions,
• Equipment used includes Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and IVUS,
• Shift schedule is 4x10 days (07:00-17:30) with 1 scheduled late shift per week (10:00-20:30) to accommodate cases that run over,
• On-call shifts run Monday-Friday from 17:30-07:00, and 07:00-07:00 (24-hour) on weekends and holidays, with approximately 10-13 call shifts per month,
• Weekend work required based on department needs and on-call schedule,
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled,
• Floating to pre-op/PACU within the unit/specialty as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in MD (or Compact RN license) currently in hand,
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS,
• CPI certification required (can be obtained on-site during orientation),
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred,
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience required,
• Must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when scheduled for an on-call shift,
